ADDITIONAL EXPERIENCE
Event leader at Kanopy for the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion group – designed and hosted events to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion. Events included a film screening and discussion for Asian American Pacific Islander Heritage month, a film screening and Q&A with filmmaker for Juneteenth, creating questions for Pride month trivia, hosting a screening and discussion for Native American Heritage month, and hosting and creating questions for December holiday trivia.
As a group, we also worked with leadership to change language on our platform to eliminate usage of outdated and racist terms.
Co-Host of Young & Naïve – started a podcast in November of 2015 about authenticity, transparency, and people bringing their whole selves to an experience. The podcast ran 3 years, we made 63 episodes, and have over 4,200 listens.
President of the Queer Student Union at Cal – worked with fellow students to foster a community of belonging and inclusion on UC Berkeley’s campus, worked with other organizations to promote unity and growth, and served as an ambassador to the community.
